1788–L released his Parallel: S EP last April on Deadbeats, which revealed two tracks that were heavily inspired by Daft Punk. Now, the enigmatic artist is returning to Deadbeats with another distorted French house-inspired track, perhaps this time a la Justice, on “HI-TECH.”

Thrashing synthwork pops and hisses across the track’s three-minute run, broken up by padded percussion arrangements and twisted vocal samples that 1788-L molds into his signature dark framework. Wrapping his characteristic production style around a gritty electro foundation, “HI-TECH” becomes a perfect meld that acts as an ode to the revered French house of the bloghaus era and 1788-L’s new stylistic direction.
