This year's marathon BPM Festival is creeping up on music lovers around the globe yet again, and now the organizers, in addition to announcing the dates of the event, are preparing for the first wave of tickets to go on sale with the first of the teaser videos for the event. Early Bird 10-Day VIP Wristbands will go on sale tomorrow, Friday September 6th at 9am EST at bpm.wantickets.com. This year's festival will run from Saturday, January 4th through Monday, January 13th, 2014.

In continual celebration of Toolroom Records tenth anniversary this summer, the label is offering a unique opportunity to spend a day in the studio with label head Mark Knight. Bromance Records' latest single is a new record from label head Louis Brodinski, a collaborative track with rapper Theophilus London. Brodinski's step into the hip-hop world should come as no surprise to someone who's even loosely following his current career trajectory and "Gimme Back The Night" is just studio proof that his hip-hop plus techno formula works. The single is out this week digitally and includes an extended club version in the release package.

For anyone who has listened to a Jamie Jones set in the last 5 or 6 months, Patrick Topping's "Any Amounts" just may be that "one song you couldn't get out of your head." This past Friday on Radio 1, Pete Tong played the longest (and highest quality) clip found on the Internet of the single, due out on Hot Creations in the imminent future. The up-and-coming producer is certainly building substantial buzz with this quite unforgettable record, and a release date could not come soon enough.

British duo Nick Harriman and Alfie Granger-Howell, or Dusky, have two major things going for them -- releasing records on Anjunadeep, Dogmatik, and Naked Naked, they're unlikely to feel constrained by a certain genre of dance music and their sheer number of EPs and singles in the last year have kept them extremely relevant.

This morning we bring you a live mix from Scissor & Thread head honchos Francis Harris (also known as Adultnapper) and Anthony Collins as Frank & Tony during a recent gig at Miami's Treehouse. Both together and on their own Harris and Collins are talented producers and DJs, and this two-and-a-half-hour set is indicative of just that. No tracklist here, but enjoy the vibes.

Armada Music, in collaboration with names like DJ Mag, Google+, and Point Blank Music School have announced their latest effort at exposing young talent in electronic music -- the socially-driven, all-online Academy of Electronic Music. Today marks the launch day of the new music school, where producers will have the chance to discuss music with peers and experts, get mentored by some of the most successful names in the game, and even get work signed by Armada Music. The "community" is all-inclusive, but seven of the most outstanding students will be selected for further work in Point Blank's first ever Electronic Music Composition course. Admission is now officially open here, and if you're interested in seeing more what this is about, make sure to tune in when the top 7 are selected at ADE on October 19th and when the lessons begin on October 21st.

Laurent Garnier is arguably the biggest dance music heavyweight set to grace the stages of Electric Zoo next weekend. Make no mistake -- he might not sell tickets like Tiesto or make fans scream like Sebastian Ingrosso, but in terms of longevity and significance, Laurent Garnier's career is quite honestly second to none on EZoo's lineup. Garnier is, of course, French but made a name for himself in the early heyday of house music in the UK -- joining Haçienda resident Mike Pickering under the pseudonym DJ Pedro right as Detroit techno and Chicago house began to creep onto foreign shores.

Today Nicolas Jaar and collaborator Dave Harrington announced on various social media channels that their much buzzed about Darkside project would be releasing (for free download!) the first eleven minutes of the duo's first full-length album. Although the preview certainly leaves more to be desired from the Chilean-American prodigy and his partner, the heart and soul of the clip certainly screams quality.
