Iconic LGBT nightclub Paradise Garage will return for one night at Verboten in Brooklyn
Dance music wouldn’t be where it is today without the influence of New York’s legendary nightlife institution Paradise Garage during the ’70s and ’80s. Located in the West Village of Manhattan, the club served as a major staple in the LGBT community and played host to iconic pop stars like Diana Ross and Madonna. The venue’s legendary resident DJs Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles and Nicky Siano were essentially responsible for the birth of the NYC disco and house scene.
Original members of the historic nightclub announced a reunion party at Verboten in Brooklyn this Labor Day weekend and will feature sets from disco pioneers Joey Llanos and David DePino.
Official Paradise Garage Reunion: Joey Llanos and David DePino at Verboten will take place on Saturday, September 5 and tickets are available here. A discount is available at the door for those who still have their Paradise Garage membership cards.
