Sultan + Shepard release fourth and final ‘Forever Now’ single, ‘Zima’
Another awaited ID from Lane 8’s “Winter 2022 Mixtape” is here. And that comes from Sultan + Shepard, with “Zima” entering as the newest and last addition to their soon-to-be dispatched Forever, Now album. With an original motive for the latest single to be a standalone instrumental piece—similar to that of “Neptune“—the duo called in German singer-songwriter Delhia de France for vocal backing. Already avid followers of the alternative pop artist, Sultan + Shepard received last-minute vocals, and instantly “fell in love” as they explained to their Instagram fans.
New to the This Never Happened family, France delivers an inexplicable edge to Forever Now, yet proposes an eccentric aura to the promising melodic arrangement and follows a seamless transition from “Making Time.” Sultan + Shepard’s five-minute “Zima” offering ties the upcoming February 17 album together, made for a windows-down sunset drive.
