For months, deadmau5 has been teasing a forthcoming update of his iconic “cube” stage design with plans to debut the setup at Veld Music Festival in his hometown, Toronto. Those who attended the producer’s Saturday night closing set were treated to the first ever glimpse of the high tech platform which reportedly cost around $2 million.

Though the producer maintains there’s work left to make sure the cube can tour easily, its innovative graphics and moving panels have received largely awe-stricken reactions and are a sure sign of a quality live show to come.
