Amnesia Ibiza owner arrested in police raid
Martin Ferrer, owner of Ibiza’s prized nightclub Amnesia, has been arrested alongside three others for ties to a drug-related operation. Armed officials arrived at the venue at 8am by helicopter – just two hours following its closure – with detection dogs by their side.
As officials’ search for evidence continues, all four individuals have been held hostage inside the club, though little has been revealed regarding the arrests. A secrecy order has been implemented surrounding the case, with a spokesman for the Guardia Civil in Majorca confirming, “There is an operation in progress but the court secrecy order means we won’t be making a detailed official comment today or sending out a press release.”
