Blige will all be taking the stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on February 13, 2022. Additionally, the halftime telecast will be co-produced by JAY-Z’s Roc Nation. Speaking on the opportunity, Dr. Dre said in a press release,
“The opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show, and to do it in my own backyard, will be one of the biggest thrills of my career. I’m grateful to Jay-Z, Roc Nation, the NFL, and Pepsi as well as Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar for joining me in what will be an unforgettable cultural moment.”
Last year saw The Weeknd take to the Super Bowl stage for a halftime performance, and reportedly fronted $7 million of his own money in addition to the provided budget to create an absolutely stunning spectacle. With a lineup of legends, next year’s Super Bowl halftime performance is sure to be another one to remember.
