Fresh off a highly-touted WMC homecoming that saw him blowing minds back-to-back with Maceo Plex, Danny Daze recently released one of his most coveted tunes in the form of his signature dark rework of a Murk classic.
The Miami native twists “Dark Beat” beyond recognition, transforming the 2002 tech house standard into a throbbing techno floor-thriller. Foreboding analog oscillators and tripped out vocoder snippets set the tone for the muscular percussive bass line and industrial percussion that provide a perfect backdrop for Oba Frank Lords’ iconic “Addicted to Drums” vocal line.
